FINALLY!
After driving, walking, and a horrible horrible bus rides later I finally made! HELLLLOOOOO GEAORGETOWN CUPCAKES!
Though I was in Boston and not Georgetown, its was still a life goal completed! I could hardly contain myself and my tears.
After waiting a merley 5 minutes in line I finally made it to the front where I than had to decide what cupcake I wanted.
What cupcake?! Can I have all of them?!
Ignore my inner calorie intake demon, I decided I would get 4. Yeah I bought 4 large cupcakes. Judge me. Red Velvet (what they are most famous for), Chocolate Birthday Cake, Marble (seasonal flavor), and Strawberry (my all time favorite).
After searching for the perfect location to each these little sprinkles of heaven, I indulged. I only finished one; Red Velvet. One bite and I felt like nothing mattered (too cheesy?) There was a perfect mix between the cake and frosting, not too much sugar and not too much cream cheese frosting. It was moist and vibrant with color. Had to be one of the best Red Velvets ever (way better than mine), though I was only able to eat one since it did have a lot of sugar in it.
For the rest of the day I clutched that Georgetown Cupcake box with my life. I gave it its own seat at lunch and on the “T” on the way home. I treated those cupcakes like babies. Then…..
One the way home I went over a large pot hole. I opened the box of cupcakes and they were all upside down. Destroyed.
